The Story
It started when a dad of 4 boys became frustrated after his kids built a fort. He found tape marks on the wall, thumbtacks in the carpet, and tears streaming down his kid's face.
Every parent knows the scene: couch cushions everywhere, three rolls of tape gone, a fort that took 2 hours to build and 2 seconds to collapse. Add a few safety pins and thumbtacks into the mix, and what should've been a fun afternoon turns into a war zone.
That was our house. Blankets pinned to walls that shouldn't have holes in them. Tacks left on the floor where someone's foot would find them later. And the worst part? The forts never actually held. One wrong move — a kid rolling over, a dog walking through — and the whole thing came down. Cue the tears.
We built The Fort Kit because forts are supposed to be fun, not frustrating. No tape. No pins. No tacks. Just a simple clamp-and-cord system strong enough to hold a real structure, and easy enough that a kid can build it themselves — and watch it actually stay up.
Clamp it. Clip it. Crank it up. That's the whole system. Build with fortitude.
